The technology was developed in response to an industry requirement to sense flames on ribbon burners over 36" in flame space (length).
In essence, the Far Side Sensing® technology is a solution for flame detection at the opposite end of the burner from the ignition source.
Far Side Sensing® provides increased burner reliability, resulting is better flame sensing that allows for greater lateral burner flame control.
In addition, commercial bakers need & expect temperature uniformity in conjunction with a burner that meets safety regulations.
The technology used meets requirements set forth by major safety bodies; including the following:

- Canadian Standards Association (CSA)
- National Fire Protection Agency
- Electrical Safety Authority
